Jump'N'Shoot!

By far the most fun and challenging demo to develop, Jump'N'Shoot is a bookmarklet that allows you to load a little spaceman into almost any page. Equipped with a laser blaster and a space suit, turn any webpage into a side-scrolling destruction fest by running across, jumping on, and shooting page elements.

Check it out! saberpeep.github.io/web-demos/jumpnshoot...

A bookmarklet is a bookmark that, when you click it, loads javascript code into whatever page you are on. Obviously some sites have blocked this functionality such as commerce and baking sites, as well as some random sites such as twitter, but most sites don't care and we can load and run fun javascript like this.

Web Demos!

It's been a while! The web demos page has gone through a complete overhaul and now hosts 6 demos!
I didn't want to get too fancy with the landing page because it should work on all platforms and browsers. I might have gone a bit overboard with the overhaul, but I spent a good amount of time optimizing it and, unless you don't have javascript it should work fine, (and if you don't have javascript enabled none of the demos are going to work anyways).
However I did include a message for those who have javascript disabled reminding them that the web-demos page isn't going to work without it.

Anyways, go check it out, and stay tuned for more fun demos in the future!

All Systems Go!

With the basis for this site completed and functional, I have created a github project for hosting and developing fun ideas I have for web-based shenanigans. Check it out at saberpeep.github.io/web-demos/ I will be updating and adding web 'demos' to it as I develop and explore fun experiments and ideas!

Talos -Test Render

Testing a new exporter for sketchup that should speed up the import process. Also playing around with filmic blender, certainly seems to increase the camera's sensitivity to light.

Development Update #4

The gallery page is now up and fully functional. The Back and Forward buttons work mostly as intended, and the debounce issue is mostly solved. All pages text now has appropriate maximum widths for readability. Users with Javascript disabled will be pleased to find that the site, while not as pretty, is fully functional without Javascript, only the gallery page was majorly affected anyways. Good progress made this time.

Development Update #3

Gallery page is up and running, needs more polish, but works. Slideshow set up to pull images from the posts below it and their corresponding links. Needs some sort of priming read due to too long of a delay before beginning cycling.

About and Contact pages now have content, unsure of typesetting, needs more polish.

Development Update #2

Progress is continuing smoothly. The welcome page is up and the sub pages are mostly configured. All pages still have filler content. My next move is to begin work on the gallery. I have just finished revamping my old slideshow code to be non-jquery-dependant. Not sure how to continue next, I'm unsure of how I want to do the gallery. Hopefully I can get it so I can use the blog system as a back-end for posting to the gallery.

Development Update

Progress continues steadily. The static pages and blog page are mostly complete. Will be filling out the site with placeholders, and then beginning work on the landing page.
